TIESNA-GA

In April 2024, Toyota Industries Group established Toyota Industries Electric Systems North America – Georgia (TIESNA-GA) on our Pendergrass, GA campus located off Valentine Industrial Parkway and Toy Wright Rd. This new Electronics division expands our efforts to increase Toyota’s footprint in northeast Georgia while also maintaining our presence as a leader in the automotive industry.

DC-DC Converter

Beginning July of 2025, we will assemble the DC-DC converter. The DC-DC converter converts power from the high voltage battery, required to drive the electric vehicle, to a low 12 volts required to power the auxiliary battery, control ECU, navigation system, lights and other devices. Through efforts to expand thick copper substrate technologies and low electrical noise technologies, which are our core technologies, we have developed high-current, compact converters that support the increasing power consumption of electronics and electrification of vehicles.

History

Toyota Industries Corporation established the Electronics Division in 1983 and began expanding into North America in 2006. Toyota Industries Electric Systems North America (TIESNA) was established in 2013 in Novi, Michigan, focusing on the import and sales of electronic products (Inverters & Converters) and technical services to customers including major North American vehicle OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers).

400 DC-AC Inverter
150 DC-AC Inverter

In 2020, TICA added our DC-AC Inverter assembly division, and began making the 400W DC-AC Inverter and extended the production to 150W DC-AC Inverter. These units convert the 12V DC from the auxiliary battery to 120V AC for North American vehicles to power electronics – allowing users to use various household appliances of up to 400W or 150W in their vehicle such as computers, video games, TVs, mobile devices, light duty tools, griddles and other items used at a cookout, camping or any other vehicle leisure.

The Toyota Industries Corporation stated in an April 2022 news release: “Toyota Industries remains committed to developing compact, lightweight and highly efficient power electronics technologies while continuing to provide car electronics products, including the newly unveiled unit that integrates an on-board charger and DC-DC converter, to support the wider use of electrified vehicles.”

TIESNA-GA is excited to break ground and grow here in Pendergrass, Georgia. We are proud to be able to work with employees here and produce quality products for the North American market.
